K:
Kegel exercises. They are repeated contractions and release of the pubococcygeal (PC) muscles in order to strengthen them and
increase sexual sensitivity. They are called so because they were developed by Dr. Arnold Kegel.

Norplant. These are matchstick-sized pieces of plastic that contain progestin, and are surgically implanted under the skin of the

Nude the same as naked, but meaning that a person is without clothes by his own desire.
O:
Oral sex. Oral sex is a sexual stimulation (both male and female) with the help of mouth. Orgasm. It is a climax of sexual
intercourse when blood flows into genitals and there is involuntary rhythmic contraction of the pelvic muscles and erotic pleasure
takes place. It is also called “coming” in slang.
Ovaries. These are female reproductive organs, which produce eggs during the monthly cycle and hormones that are involved in
sexual responses and the development of secondary sex characteristics.
Ovulation. It is a release of the egg from the ovary.
Ovum The female reproductive cell, also known as the egg, which can become fertile and create a life if united with sperm.

Penis It is male reproductive and sex organ. It consists of shaft (the body of the penis), and the head also called the glans. When
the spongy tissue inside the penis is full with blood, the penis becomes erect, and the man can have intercourse. Penis is also used
for urination.
Phallic Relating to or resembling a penis.
Pornography. It is all kinds of materials which may be used to stimulate sexual feelings. From Greek the word “pornography’ means
the writings about prostitutes. It is also called porn or porno.
Premature ejaculation. It takes place when a man ejaculates before he wants to do this. It could mean that he ejaculates only
seconds after his penis goes into the vagina, or he could even ejaculate prior to penetration.
Prostate gland. It is male sexual organ, the walnut-sized gland that is located below the bladder. It produces the majority of the
fluid that combines with sperm and other secretions to make up semen.
Pubic lice. It is parasitic insect, which infects the pubic hair of men or women. It may be transmitted sexually or through contact
with infected hair, bedding, towels or clothing. It is also called ‘crabs”.
Q:
Queer this term is referred to homosexuals and it has a somewhat disrespectful meaning. It is usually used by gays, lesbians and
bisexuals, usually young ones, when they want to describe themselves. But some homosexuals don’t like this term, because if used by
someone not gay, it has a humiliating meaning.
Quickie. It is a brief sexual encounter which is often accompanied by spontaneity and some degree of risk.
R:
Rape sexual intercourse when one of the partners doesn’t want it. Then sex is forced.
Rear entry It is one of the sexual positions when a man enters a woman’s vagina from behind. Sometimes it is also called
“doggy-style”.
Resolution It occurs after orgasm and is the final stage of the sexual response cycle. During this time, the body returns to the
condition it was before the intercourse and excitement.
Rimming. Oral-anal sexual contact. It is also known as “annilingus.”
Role playing. It is acting when people play different roles usually for sexual excitement and change of familiar way of sexual
intercourse.
S:
Sadomasochism (S/M or S&M) This term is referred to various activities done by sexual partners, usually when playing roles, when
they exchange their power or pain between each other. Usually, they use toys, tools and some other methods for hurting the partner
with erotic or physical pain.
Seduction. It is a process when one person is seducing another one in order to make him have feelings of sexual desire.
Sex education. There are two kinds of sex education: formal and informal. In informal ay, people learn about sex from their
friends, parents, siblings, TV, movies, newspapers and so on. Under the formal way we mean lessons offered at school or in religious
settings. These lessons and informal sex education as well may include knowledge in biology, psychology, social issues, cultural
issues, moral and ethic issues.
Sexual compulsion It is considered to be a sexual disorder when a person is preoccupied wit sex and the result of it is that this
person spends all his or her money and time on sex. Sometimes these people are called sex addicts.
Sperm It is a male reproductive cell which is in semen. It is usually released during ejaculation and united with woman’s egg; it
fertilizes it and gives life to a new person.
Swinging Sex is sex with some people simultaneously. These people may join some swing clubs or come independently.
T:
Tantra This term is referred to many principles and practices of sexual intercourse between men and women. It is based on Eastern
philosophy. From Sanskrit it is translated as woven together. Testicles or testes. Male sexual organs. They are small, oval glands
in the scrotum that produce sperm and male hormones.
Testosterone. It is the most important male hormone, which is produced in testicles. Transsexual A person who doesn’t like the sex
he was born with and he thinks that he or she wasn’t meant to have this very sex. Sometimes, people who want to mend it, undergo
hormone therapy and sex reassignment surgery
Transvestite. They are people usually of heterosexual preferences, but they feel the necessity to dress like people of opposite
sex. These people prefer to call themselves “crossdresser’.
U:
Unrequited love. It is one-sided love, love frustration.
Urinary tract infection. It is an infection of the urinary tract that causes burning and pain during urination.
Uterus An internal organ of the female reproductive system. It is also called womb.
V:
Vagina: vagina is the muscular passageway leading from the uterus to the vulva. It is also the birth canal, the passageway for
menstrual flow leaving the body and the area that accepts the penis during sexual intercourse.
Vaginismus. It is a women’s sexual dysfunction, when the muscles of vagina contract too tightly and nothing can penetrate in it.
Sex therapy can be used for healing it.
Vas deferens. These are two narrow tubes which convey sperm to the point where it can mix with the other constituents that make up
semen.
Vasectomy It is one of the medical kinds of permanent birth control. It is also called sterilization. It involves cutting and tying
the vas deferens so that a man does not ejaculate sperm, yet he still ejaculates semen.
Voyeur. It is a person who gets erotic pleasure from watching others engage in sexual acts or nudity.
Vulva This term refers to all of the external female sexual structures: the mons veneris, the labia major and minora, the clitoris,
